Orbi Software is a Web solutions provider based in Berkeley, CA. We have over ten years experience building powerful, database-enabled Web applications for businesses and consumers in the San Francisco Bay Area. We also host our own suite of Web site building tools which allow our clients to easily bridge the gap between cookie-cutter template designs and expensive custom solutions.

Executive Team

John has been a big fan of computers for almost as long as he can remember, but he's spent the last several years honing his technical skills with a particular emphasis on Web development. His recent experience includes:

• Over three years experience working in a high availability, load-balanced production environment serving well in excess of a million requests per day.
• Proven software architecture skills used to design a custom MVC-based framework for Web applications, an SSO / SAML 2.0 framework, a library for integration of Web applications with various payment gateways, and many other collections of reusable code.
• Familiarity with all aspects of Web development including Web design.
• Experience with many Java libraries and frameworks for front-end Web development work, back-end data and file processing, and job scheduling / workflow management.
• Many years of experience working with MS-SQL, MySQL, and other relational database platforms.
• Several years building and maintaining Web services on multiple platforms.

Combining networking and database skills acquired as a Systems Administrator with software development skills acquired as a professional Software Engineer, John has successfully provided his clients with a comprehensive engineering roadmap to effectively address their technology needs. He's also been working as a Senior Software Engineer at iHomefinder, Inc since 2004.
